2007 MoHen Design Competition
Students from Raffles Design Institute Interior Design department will be participating in the 2007 MoHen Design Competition where they stand a chance to win a prize money worth RMB10, 000.
MoHen Design International, an award winning company has created and designed for residential, office and hospitality in Chong Qing, Shanghai, Taiwan and Tokyo and its' work has won review from presses across the globe. The company has done numberous projects and is known for their innovative approach in design and craftsmanship.
Interior Design students are free to conceptualize design based on an area of between 350-500 sqm in retail outlets, bars, hotels, clinics and restaurants. They will have to design brief and evaluate site analysis, logical progression of the ideas has to be documented showing clear evolution, present a schematic overview of the design intent of the overal scheme and choose to fully realize focus area to include color perspectives, materials and drawings. The date line for submission is 21st September 2007 where their works will be evaluated by established designers from MoHen Design International, Raffles Design Institute lecturers and one guest critic.
This competition will allow our student to apply what they have learnt in class and test their creativity in design. They will have to learn to manage their time as this competition is not part of their class assignment. Our students are encouraged to continue to participate in good competition arranged by the school to improve their knowledge and skills in Interior Design to prepare them for future challenges when they graduate. We are confident that their dedication and perseverance will produce good results and they will all emerged winners in the competition.
